Why is the Fringe-Toed lizard endangered? That is a question that is on everyone's mind, I have an answer to that question. The main reason why the Fringe-Toed lizard is endangered is due to loss of habitat. Human development and natural cause are the key reason's why habitat to the Fringe-Toad lizards, the Fringe-Toad lizards live in sand dunes in Thousand Palms, Palm Springs, Cathedral City, and Desert Hot Springs.
